How can we help you?

Coraledge specialises in the following areas:

In all cases we want to deliver great value and ensure an effective handover, leaving our client confident and allowing us to move on to the next challenge. A Coraledge team is a "doing" team and is measured on value delivered rather than the number of days consultancy provided. Our clients prefer this approach and feel it encourages a stronger relationship.

Procurement

Public sector procurement for significant projects is often an expensive and slow exercise, both for the client and the bidding suppliers. All too often by the time the procurement has reached a conclusion, the original requirements need revising because circumstances have changed in the intervening months.

Clients often feel they need to have tight controls over suppliers and so are very prescriptive in specifying requirements. Often what seems like a strong contract in year one turns out to be too inflexible later in the contract's life.

Coraledge can help you with the entire procurement process, from developing the business case and securing budget and commitment, to evaluating bids in fair a way that genuinely reflects business priorities and encourages suppliers to innovate and add value. Crucially, we have a great track record of getting the procurement completed and contracts agreed and signed on time with full stakeholder involvement.

Project delivery

Large projects in the public sector face many challenges. Projects need to satisfy the different and sometime conflicting needs of many stakeholders. They often face resistance from managers and staff who appreciate the potential benefits, but struggle to commit the necessary resource to the project whilst striving to improve the service they deliver. Projects are often part of a larger organisational change programme with complex interdependencies. The environment into which the project is delivered is itself changing, and requirements can change suddenly. There is an absolute need to demonstrate the measurable benefits of a project, and for the organisation to realise efficiency savings arising from these benefits.

Coraledge has an excellent track record of delivering strategically important projects for public sector clients. We adapt the project methodology to suit your circumstances, and then put the project management effort into building an effective project team, governance structure and communications strategy. We work hard to anticipate change and are experienced in working where many key aspects of the target environment are uncertain. Our approach ensures that we go live with a project that is still relevant to the business needs, whilst keeping rework to a minimum.

Benefits realisation

Congratulations - you went live with your project, and although there were a couple of compromises it went live on time. Your project team is spending more time on support than you'd like which is holding up progress, and some of the staff are still working the old way. Your project board is coming up and your Senior User is unhappy that her service performance is being impacted by the amount of time her staff spend coping with the new system. Your stage 5 gateway review is several months away and the project board want assurance that the project is on track to deliver the benefits set out in the business case.

Delivering a project doesn't finish at go-live, we need to deliver the benefits we promised in the business case, and help the organisation realise performance and efficiency improvements from those benefits. Often the focus of the project team is on getting the system in, rather than helping the organisation to prepare itself for the new system. The emphasis needs to change in order for the organisation to get the most from the project.

Coraledge can help your organisation achieve the benefits it expects from the project, and vitally we can help you demonstrate that the benefits have been achieved. We have a great deal of experience in helping organisations get the most from their projects.

Project rescue

Projects can go wrong for many reasons. Whatever it is, if you have a project that is in trouble and is too important to cancel, Coraledge can help.

Better relationships

Two common problems in organisations are the gap between the business and the IT dept, and the gap between the client and the supplier. Coraledge does a great job of bridging that gap, but we are much more interested in helping you close the gap permanently.
