RULES

1. That the Club be called the Windsor Hockey Club.


2. (a) That the Club shall be affiliated to the Berkshire County Hockey Association and shall   conform to the rules of the Association.

    (b) That the Ladies’ section of the club shall be affiliated to the All England Women’s Hockey Association.

    (c) That the Club shall be associated with and shall support the objectives of the Home Park Pavilion Club.


3. That the object of the Club shall be the provision of facilities for playing hockey, and the promotion of social intercourse amongst the members.

4. The Club colours shall be red and green quarters shirts, white shirts and red socks for the Mens Section and white shirts and purple skirts and socks for the Ladies Section.
That in the event of sponsoring being obtained all members shall wear on their kit the name of the sponsor in a manner decided by the Management Committee.

5. That the officers of the Club shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting and shall consist of the President, Vice-Presidents, Chairman, Mens and Ladies Club Captains, Captains and Vice-Captains of each eleven, Hon. Secretary, Assistant Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer, Assistant Hon. Treasurer, Commercial Manager, Hon Bar Manager, Hon. Bar Secretary, Hon. Bar Treasurer, two Hon. Fixture Secretaries, Hon. Social Secretary, two Hon. Team Secretaries, Hon. Pavilion Manager, two Hon. Press Officers and Hon. Colts Manager and Chairman Astro Fund Raising committee.
The Hon. Secretary and Assistant Hon. Secretary shall comprise of a member from each section and the Hon. Treasurer and Assistant Hon. Treasurer shall comprise of a member from each section.

6. The Management Committee shall consist of the Chairman, the Club Captains, the Secretary and Assistant, the Treasurer and Assistant, the Commercial Manager, the Bar Manager, Secretary and Treasurer, two Fixture Secretaries, the Social Secretary, two Team Secretaries, the Pavilion Manager. Colts Manager, Press Officers, Commercial Manager and two other members from the Ladies Section and two other members from the Mens Section. The ex officio members to be elected by the respective sections.
Seven shall form a quorum. The Management Committee shall have power to co-opt.

7. The Management Committee shall appoint the selection committee as follows :
   (a) Mens, to include Captain and Vice-Captain of all Xl’s and Team and Fixture Secretaries.
   (b) Ladies, as requested by members of the Ladies Section.

8. i) That the Annual Subscription shall be:-
    (a) Full Playing Member    £90 (£80)
   (b) Playing Members in full time education aged over 18       £50 (£40)
    (c) Playing Members in full time education aged 18 years     and under £30 (£25)
    (d) Umpires £1.00
    (e) Non Playing Members (most be over 18) £15.00

Annual Subscriptions are payable to the Treasurer on the 1st October. Those who have not paid by 31st October will cease to be Club Members and will be ineligible for selection.

For categories (a), (b), (c) above, the Annual Subscription shall be reduced to the bracketed figure on full payment by 31st October. All cheques must be dated and handed to the Treasurer before 31st October.

A new member will have three weeks from the date of joining, in which to pay their subscription.

The age attained at the 1st October applies for the season.
ii) That all members paying a subscription within the provisions of Sub-Clauses i), a), b), c) or d) hereof shall be deemed to be full playing members of the Club.
iii) Any non-playing member nominated by the Management Committee and any full-playing member shall, subject to being elected in accordance with the Rules of the Home Park Pavilion Club, become members and be bound by the Rules for the time being of the said Club.
iv) The subscription referred to in Clause i) hereto shall become due and payable to the Hon. Treasurer at the commencement of each season and shall include the annual subscription of the 25p payable to the Home Park Pavilion Club, under the rules of the Club which said subscription of 25p shall then be paid by the Hon. Treasurer to the Hon. Treasurer of the Home Park Pavilion Club.

9. That match levies shall be payable as follows:-
    (a) Full Playing Members. £5.00
    (b) Playing Members in full time education. £3.00
    (c) Indoor hockey, summer hockey, other leagues and gymnasium training shall be self-funding.
    (d) Training - Wednesday Evening (Windsor Boys School) £3.00
    Men - 8.45pm - 10.00pm
    Ladies - 7.30pm - 8.45pm
    (e)    For Colts (on Sunday Colts games only) - At Colts Managers Discretion

10. That members shall pay their own travelling expenses to any away match unless otherwise decided by the Management Committee.

11. Applications for membership shall be made in writing to the Hon. Secretary and shall be approved by the Management Committee.

12. That in order to call a Special General Meeting a written application signed by at least eight members of the Club must be received by the Hon. Secretary, who shall give all members seven days notice of the meeting and business to be transacted.

13. That the Management Committee shall have full powers to act on behalf of the Club in case of an emergency not covered by these rules.

14. That these rules shall only be altered at the general meetings of the Club.

15. The A.G.M. of the Club shall be held towards the end of the winter playing season, the specific date to be set at the discretion of the Management Committee. The purpose of this meeting shall be to report on the current season and to elect Officers for the forthcoming seasons. The Financial General Meeting shall be held prior to the commencement of the new season. The purpose of this meeting shall be to discuss and adopt the audited accounts of the previous season. Proposed alterations to the rules should be advised to the Hon. Secretary well in advance so that such proposals may be included in the Agenda which shall be circulated to all members at least seven days before the meeting takes place.

16. That in General Meetings full playing members shall have equal voting rights, having one vote each. The Ladies Club Captain, Captains and Vice-Captains to be elected by full playing members of the Ladies Section. The Mens Club Captain, Captains and Vice-Captains to be elected by the full playing members of the Mens Section. In the event of any voting not producing a conclusive result, the Chairman shall have the casting vote.
